blood is our drug; the human race, our dealer.
the year 2025. earth. or rather.. what's left of it. as predicted, the homo-sapiens' inability to save their bloody planet caused the untold destruction of societies, as they died out from starvation, or - a more common cause of death by global warming - dehydration. the death counts rose, and yet... no blood went to waste. corpses would be buried, then dug up the same day, drained of what blood they had left, then just left there. the culprit - in this case, however, it was plural - didn't believe in burying the dead.
in their opinion, everything is recyclable.
the culprits i'm talking about, in case you hadn't guessed already, are vampires. they've been around for as long as the humans - possibly longer, nobody knows. we've never thought to ask. they've set themselves up in clans around the world - hundreds of vampires in each one, and over a hundred clans.
but only one has settled.
italy has been abandoned. whether it was the heat that got them, or the vampires - or a combination - they have disappeared. deep in the heart of italy is where the vampires are. one of the oldest clans to still be... well, not living.
